"I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Tony Campbell. If you want to gain confidence and improve your communication skills both as an actor and for daily life, I can’t think of anyone better than Tony to teach and guide you.

His highly developed personal communication is wonderful. I have been on the receiving end several times where Tony provided sound feedback of my strengths and guidance of what to work on. It is a real boost and feels special to be lead by Tony.

I have yet to meet another individual with such vast knowledge and love for the arts. When watching a show that he has directed or performing alongside Tony in a musical production, I know that no small detail will be missed.

I admire the care he puts into every thing he does. His level of professionalism and talented is Broadway standard. Leading others with the knowledge of a director and performer (as well as the never ending list of other wonderful skills) he is able to tailor his teachings to suit the individual. A kind and approachable colleague".

"Tony creates a safe, inclusive environment that helps nurture up coming/professional artists. He has been such a delight to collaborate with and only wants the best in every person in the room.

When working with Tony, he guided me in my journey to become the most authentic person I can be, while creating a new character to fit the story’s arch. He stays true to the text that is given to him, while projecting his vision to everyone involved to create beautiful, entertaining art.

If you want to develop your skills to the next level, I highly recommend working with Tony!"

"I have worked alongside Tony as an actor and I am always in awe of his understanding of the skills needed to deliver a professional, engaging, and polished performance. I have witnessed how he encourages and guides others, and have seen their confidence and communication skills grow because of this.

I believe this is largely due to the infectious passion and energy that Tony brings to a creative environment.

I know from first-hand experience that performance skills are transferrable into everyday life: building confidence, improving communication skills and understanding human nature.

Tony has, in my opinion, the perfect balance of talent and knowledge as a performer himself, while also having the desire and passion to teach this to others".

"I had the long-anticipated delight of working under the Direction of Tony Campbell in 2023, as a supporting actor in one of Neil Simon's treasured works 45 Seconds from Broadway.

Tony is a thoughtful and considered creative whose attention to detail is not spared when it comes to creating art and supporting actors to "dig deep" and unearth potential.

His highly personalised approach to mentoring is just what young actors need to simultaneously build skills and confidence.

Even with a high degree of involvement and a hands-on approach to working with actors, he affords each person a freedom to discover themselves in the work they are tackling. It is liberating and emotionally containing all at the same time.

As someone in the field of psychology and the creative arts, I would describe Tony's approach as the perfect mash-up between the two'.

"I have worked with Tony as a theatre director. His communication style is extraordinary; both sensitive and nuanced. He brings such a positive energy and enthusiasm to his process. He makes the rehearsal room a safe, beautiful space to grow and cultivate talent".

"Tony Campbell is a vital asset in the artistic excellence found in the Queensland performing arts. No where else will you find someone with as much passion, conviction, patience, love, empathy and support in all things artistic in this state and beyond. His knowledge is encyclopaedic and delivers unparalleled distinction in direction, dramaturgy, feedback and arts advocacy".

"Some students stick with you long after they graduate. Tony is one of those people.

I was Tony’s dance education teacher and he was one of the few boys I taught over the years. His passion for the arts was extraordinary. It was all he wanted to do and his focus was clear right from that time.

As a committed student he spent time with staff during lunch-hours and we came to know him well. As a teacher, I could see that everything Tony had applied and absorbed through his arts education, would very likely result in success.

I am proud to have been a very small part contributing to his successful career".

"Working with Tony Campbell on the Neil Simon play 45 Seconds From Broadway was a delightful experience.

Tony shows so much respect to his actors and their individual creative instincts

Apart from reading and appreciating the given text, and initial staging of basic movements, his approach was sensitive and generous, in that he would mostly let the actors run with and establish a flow of the action without the common practice of interrupting and enforcing too many directives which often can inhibit and impede an actor's process.

He would make extensive notes whilst observing the progress of the performances. These helpful, informative notes would then be dispersed either at the end of the rehearsal or the following day.

This process gave the actors time to fully consider and put into practice the means to further their interpretation and expression of their roles.

In the case of this particular play, Tony would constantly emphasize the importance of adhering to the playwright's intentions and choice of words, which  in the case of a Neil Simon play, is absolutely imperative.

I would thoroughly recommend Tony Campbell as a director, and look forward immensely to the further projects he takes on  either in the fields of comedy, drama or musical theatre".
